מני מתני' לא ר"מ ולא ר' יהודה ולא ר' יוסי ולא ר' נתן

Abaye remarked: Therefore if a man sees that the slow-maturing seed<span class="x" onmousemove="('comment',' Wheat and cummin, which are sown in October.');"><sup>9</sup></span> is doing well he should sow the quick-maturing seed<span class="x" onmousemove="('comment',' Barley, 'which is sown in January or February.');"><sup>10</sup></span> in good time, so that it may be well grown before the time comes to judge it.<span class="x" onmousemove="('comment',' At the next Passover, and meanwhile it profits from the favourable judgment of the preceding Passover.');"><sup>11</sup></span>
